Kreativ Blogger Award

This hot blogger chick who goes by JB nominated me for a Kreativ Blogger Award.

I don't know what this means other than JB considered me deserving of such a shout out; and also something about my blog smacks of kreativity, spelled like that, with a "k." I don't know what that means either. But this is a day for speculation rather than certainty.

For instance, in the shower this evening I wondered about the look on my face while I tipped those lovely gay go-go boys the other night. Not sure what I looked like, but my expression must have resembled the look of a child peering into a cookie jar. I'm talking about a look of anticipation, glee. I mean the look of a child who still finds wonder and acceptance in the world. I'm okay, you're okay, this bar rocks, and you're fucking hot. Take my dollars.

In a scene of debauchery, a glimpse of innocence, sheer, sweet humanity.

This is a day for gratefulness.

For instance, six weeks ago in my living room, late, I-Tunes jamming, kid sleeping over at a friends, I did the catwalk up and down my living room exactly like, better than I did on stage fifteen years ago as a stripper. I strutted, pranced, swiveled, spun, danced. At least an hour, until I was sweating. A gleeful bubbling through the ache of another boring week.

No audience. My pleasure. I was free.
